Pluk

Dutch design Tjep. was responsible for the identity, naming and interior design of Pluk. Pluk is a new take-away formula which offers: fresh juices, yogurt shakes and special salads that customers can compose by themselves: the so called tossed salads. I like the name (as one of our cats) and the concept. Pluk is located in Haarlem the Netherlands.

Moss

This project by Nendo involved renovating an old wooden house on the Shibuya River in Tokyo's Ebisu neighbourhood into a live-work space. Most wallpaper imitates nature through a two-dimensional representation of it, and cladding the walls entirely in moss would simply have been too much. He wanted something in-between, so he applied the moss in a pattern that looked like wallpaper, creating an ambiguous texture that's neither artificial as natural.

Stationery and gifts

I love this humorous and original postcard art from R. Nichols. Working from his studio in the hills of Western North Carolina, R. Nichols works simply with colored paper, a glue stick and a regular old pair of Fiskar scissors. R. Nichols believes that cool art should integrate all parts of your life - from the stationery you send to the grocery totes you carry.

Spiral Islands is a completely new installation created by David Trubridge specially for Milan 2008 where it was shown in Zona Tortona. Delicate cloud lighting forms float over, and mirror, island seat forms below like the puffy white clouds that sit over the countless islands scattered over the Pacific Ocean.
