Anamorphosis

Anamorphosis is a collection of platters by Luc d’Hanis & Sofie Lachaert for Droog. The distorted drawing on the platters only reveals themselves when you place a reflective object in the middle of the platter.

The best of Milan 09 part 2

The Fergana collection by Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola has designed a modular sofa for Moroso upholstered in fabrics inspired by traditional patterns from Uzbekistan. Via Dezeen.


The mesh vases by Studio Aisslinger are an innovative textured glass vase series developed with CIAV meisenthal, an experimental lab for blown glass in france. For the mesh vases, a newfabrication concept was developed with CIAV - the glass is blown into a bag of glassfiber textile in an iron rack. Via Designboom.

The revolving chandelier

Bertjan Pot has just sent us images of his new Dutch design project The revolving chandelier. It has four, half reflective, half transparent light-shades which are shaped like a propeller and balance on a small steel tip. The rising air, heated by three halogen bulbs makes all four light shades rotate. Via Designboom.
