Nos da blush by Donna Wilson

Nice new drop of Scottish designer Donna Wilson from her Nos da series is this plaid in the colour Blush. Donna Wilson is well known for her quirky knitted home accessories and softies. To her, knitting “means I have complete control over the fabric I create, color, pattern and texture as I am making a fabric from a piece of yarn,” she says. “I still find this amazing.” Perfectly patterned in delightful color combinations, Wilson’s Nos Da plaid, blanket and pillow which are named for a Welsh phrase meaning “good night,” are a modern take on traditional English double cloth. This special textile doesn’t have a post-weaving wash, making it durable and hard wearing. The wool is spun in a Yorkshire mill to create the required thick yarn, and then woven at a 100-year-old mill in Wales. The method allows for Nos Da’s complex patterns and surface textures.
