Hotel 3Rooms by 10 Corso Como

3Rooms is a mini-hotel concept in the heart of Milan. And as the name implies, it has just that, only three rooms. But these aren’t just any rooms; these are three beautiful apartments all decorated by Carla Sozzani, the publisher and gallerist behind the renowned 10 Corso Como, a group of gallery-like spaces with an international reputation for fusing fashion, art, books, music and design. The interiors here read like a rolodex of famous designers that includes Charles and Ray Eames, Joe Colombo, Kris Ruhs, Sebastian Matta and Arne Jacobsen. Each apartment consists of a lounge space, a separate bedroom and a huge bathroom–all with the perfect mix of pattern, texture and restrained color. And it’s not just the interiors that are so appealing: The hotel’s surroundings and its romantic ivy-covered patio are also hugely appealing. With hardly any signage and hidden within the 10 Corso Como boutique and restaurant, the bed & breakfast is a perfectly discreet home base to come and go as you please. And the design echoes this hush-hush vibe, as the apartments, although outfitted with important design pieces, remain unstuffy and livable. Via Designtripper.

Hotel Amour, Paris

Walk into Hotel Amour and you’ll think you’re in the wrong place, in the heart of a restaurant with a chill vibe and great buzz. Turn right and you’re at the front desk that feels more like a hostess stand than a reception center. Check in and you’ll disappear around the corner through a discrete door that takes you next door and upstairs to the series of 24 rooms behind the facade of a typical Parisian apartment building. Reminiscent of the Ace Hotels in the US, this independent hotel brings together decor that ties together vintage classics with a modern sophisticated feel, but where each room takes on a flavor of its own. Designed by various names in the French design scene the painted walls and unexpected color palettes matched with crisp white bedspreads keep the understated simplicity without losing a drop of style. The duplex room I visited was encompassed by untraditional black walls, and felt like a stylish city loft despite its first floor location. Perhaps even more appealing than the inviting interiors is the price tag that is friendlier than most in Paris. Via Designtripper.

Hotel Denit

Tonight is our last night staying in design hotel Denit in Barcelona. This boutique hotel is located in the heart of the city; in the Gothic quarter and close to Plaza Cataluña and Las Ramblas. We like this hotel but on our first visit to Barcelona we stayed in hotel Banys orientals we recommend more highly. Last evening we had dinner for the second time in Restaurant 7 portes well known as the restaurant were you can eat the best Paella of Spain, we absolutely agree. Today we visited Vinçon the design shop you must visit when staying in Barcelona.

Hotel Aire de Bardenas

Tonight we will stay in Aire de Bardenas, a boutique design hotel in Tudela, Navarra, Spain. The hotel is located in the Bardenas Reales Nature Reserve in the heart of 'Ribeira', near Tudela. This beautiful hotel is designed by Monica Rivera and Emiliano Lopez. All on one floor it has 20 rooms, 4 suites, pool, bar and restaurant. Set inside the Bardenas Reales National Park (a biosphere reserve) its surrounding landscape means that every viewpoint is amazing. Staying in this hotel is an experience we will never forget. It seems if we are land on another planet. We love the refreshing concept, serenity and the great mails with vegetables from their own garden.

W Retreat & Spa, Vieques, Puerto Rico
