Table glass
Dutch designers Scholten & Baijings have produced the 'Table glass' series it is comprised of a jug, platter, bowl, platter with cover, candy dish and flower vase. made from crystal each object consists of a pink transparent layer and a white layer. The two layers have been brought together using the traditional glassblowing technique known as overlay. After cooling the characteristic line patterns of the series were applied manually with a small diamond disk. The series has been purchased as part of the Zuiderzee museum's permanent collection and will be on display from november 3, 2008. Via Designboom.
